Hi Everyone,
Very excited to be starting this journey tomorrow, it’s going to be interesting but necessary. Going to start measuring weight weekly, measurements monthly and fat percentage and other fun facts from my DEXA scan quarterly.
A bit of background about me is that I have been overweight all my life, I am now 34 years old and I don’t remember ever not being overweight. Over the last 2 years i have made concerted efforts to lose weight and have been somewhat successful however have always managed to put most of it back.
My major motivation to do this is mainly for myself, I am just sick of being the fat guy all the time. I need to feel better, there is no way around this anymore. Also, my son is a major driving factor as he gets older I don’t want him to be embarrassed of his dad and also lead by example I want him to have a positive attitude towards food and part of teaching someone to achieve something is to do it yourself.
In terms of targets I don’t know, long term around 80kg and 12% body fat would be nice, but just looking for steady improvement and these blogs will keep me in check.
So it all begins tomorrow, my first weigh in and measurements to be done followed by my DEXA scan in the afternoon, really excited. Maybe silly doing it before Christmas however it needs to be done and if i wait until after Christmas/New Year I know it will slip to the following month and just keep moving on.
As a basis for this I am using the 4-Hour Body principles however I will hybridise with some Isagenix shakes and other things, will post those as i go, hope you can all join me on the journey.
Until next time…
Regards,
